Pathfinder tool in Adobe Illustrator is super useful tool. Just by creating simple shapes and unifying and subtracting with them can allow you to create complicated graphics that would otherwise be difficult. Just by mastering Pathfinder will allow you to get much more far with your vector graphics creation. This is something I do all the time.
